✈️ Heathrow has officially removed the 100ml limit on liquids for outbound passengers after completing a £1bn upgrade of its security lanes.
🔍 Thanks to new CT scanners now live across all terminals, travellers can keep liquids and electronic devices in their hand luggage at security. Containers of up to 2 litres are now allowed, and plastic liquid bags are no longer needed.
⏱️ The technology speeds up security checks by producing clearer 3D images of cabin bags, helping reduce queues and bottlenecks — one of the biggest causes of delays at airports.
🌍 Heathrow says the change will also eliminate nearly 16 million single-use plastic bags every year.
⚠️ The new rules apply only to departing flights from Heathrow. Passengers should still check liquid restrictions at their return airport.
