British Airways: Strike at Heathrow Terminal 5

Today Friday, 31 March until Sunday, 9 April security personnel at London Heathrow Terminal 5 are expected to go on strike.

This has led Heathrow management to request British Airways to reduce the number of passengers travelling during this period and therefore, the company has been forced to make some schedule adjustments.

Throughout the strike period, check-in will open 3 hours prior to departure for long-haul flights and 2 hours prior to departure for short-haul flights. We will also provide the option of checking-in hand baggage free of charge, by visiting one of our airport check-in desks or self-service bag drops.
